I’ve never been much of a make-up-put-on-ner when there’s no need to, which is likely due to my admittedly irrational annoyance at having to soak it all off at night. Ever since I kind of accidentally landed a job last month, however, putting on make-up has become a daily requirement, and therefore, it was the first thing on the list of things that I wanted to simplify and streamline. Currently, my work make-up routine consists of three products and it takes as many minutes to do.
The first step in my work make-up routine is to tend to my eyebrows. I’ve been very lucky to have been born with naturally full and thick eyebrows and the only thing they really are in need of in the morning is a brush through to make sure they don’t go about behaving badly. This clear gel keeps them in place all day long.
The second step is concealer. I’ve never been much of a foundation girl, and this feathery light, silky smooth concealer can be easily brushed underneath my eyes when I look a bit tired, on any redness or blemishes I may have, and then patted into the skin with my fingers.
The third and final step in my work make-up routine is mascara. The formula of this mascara is a little thick and clumpy, which makes it a cinch to apply. Although it doesn’t tend to last for 18 hours on me, it stays put for at least eight, which makes it a great option for work.
So there you have it: my three-minute make-up routine for work, consisting of just three products. What does your make-up routine for work look like?
