I remember the first time I wrote a post titled “Four Things”, almost two years ago today. I believed it would make a great series — a small post in-between lengthier ones to share those things that had caught my eye. I love perusing curated lists in magazines and online, but I feel like I never quite hit my stride with this blog series. So, for now, this is the last of Four Things, but I expect it might be coming back, in another form, once I figure out what form that is, exactly.
01 / Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card. I used to watch a lot of anime growing up, and Cardcaptor Sakura was amongst my favourite shows. A sequel to the original anime, titled “Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card”, was released just last year and, for nostalgia’s sake, I watched the first episode. It was as if the story had never stopped, which is always the mark of a great sequel. I watched the whole season in a week, and would highly recommend it to anyone who watched the original.
02 / How Jen Does It. This YouTube channel, run by Jen, is a great resource for finding tips on organising, cleaning, DIYs, recipes, and productivity. It’s been my favourite channel to watch lately if I’m in need of a pick-me up or want some company when I’m cooking or cleaning.
03 / NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base. The NARS eyeshadow primer has been a staple in my make-up collection for more than six years now. You dab on a little primer with the doe-foot applicator, distribute it over your eyelid, apply your eye make-up on top, and it will literally last for hours. I always wear it to parties and weddings and couldn’t recommend it more.
04 / Joseph Joseph Clean Press Easy Clean Garlic Press. Our previous garlic press, which was from Jamie Oliver’s home-ware brand, broke the third time I used it, so we’ve been mincing garlic by hand for almost five years now. A few weeks ago, we found out one of our retailers was having a massive sale on Joseph Joseph products and we found this garlic press. It’s been amazingly easy to use and clean, and it’s one of my favourite Joseph Joseph kitchen products we own.
I’d love to know — what is something that has caught your eye this week? I wish you all a very happy Thursday!
